MelaFix 8oz

This is an antibacterial remedy for the treatment of aquarium fish diseases. It rapidly repairs damaged fins and open wounds as well as eye cloud, pop eye, body slime, and mouth fungus. It does not affect pH. It is safe for snails and other invertebrates, live aquarium plants, and will not harm the biological filter. Shake well before using and remove carbon filtration.
For a disease of wound treatment, add one teaspoon (5 mL) for every 10 US gallons (40 L) of aquarium water. Repeat doses daily for seven days. After seven days, perform a 25% water change. Treatment can be continued if necessary. When adding new fish to the aquarium or when netting and handling fish, add one teaspoon (5 mL) for every 10 US gallons (40 L) of aquarium water. Repeat dose daily for three days. Safe for freshwater or saltwater. Melafix can cause foaming with protein skimming, and skimming may need to be turned down for application. It has been tested and found compatible with other Aquarium Pharmaceutical’s medications, though not recommended to be combined with other brands.
