This decorative gravel may be used in aquariums, fish bowls, planters, dish gardens, flower pots, and as drainage gravel. All components are nontoxic. Little washing is necessary, and a simple rinse is sufficient to pre-wet the surface to reduce floating of dry particles or to remove any dust which may be present. Do not expose product to extremes such as boiling or baking.

Estes’ recommends 1.5lbs of gravel to every gallon, but most find that 1lb per gallon is suitable. Keep in mind that if your tank is shorter with a wider base, then 1.5lbs per gallon may be the better choice.
