The large capacity design of the filter basket allows for any type of filter media to be interchanged and placed in custom configurations. This filter system is designed for easy and convenient maintenance. The filter media basket is designed to hold the largest volume of filter media versus other brands and prevents any water by-pass around the filter media. The dual water intake feature will capture the water just below the surface, where excreted fish oils accumulate, and deeper in the tank removing floating debris. The pump is self priming. The maintenance monitor reminds you when to clean the filter. In the event of a clog, the water diversion channel allows overflow to go back into the aquarium. The adjustable leveling device allows for precise filter positioning on the tank. The adjustable flow regulation wheel allows you to adjust performance to specific aquarium volume or type. It enables different environments for fish who prefer more or less flow or oxygenation. The feature offers up to 80% reduction of maximum flow intake while making full use of the filter motor. When reduced flows are selected, the refiltration grid allows for water to re circulate through the filter media thus maximizing performance through increased contact time.
